The Ondo state House of Assembly Speaker, Bamidele Oloyelogun and his deputy, Iroju Ogundeji have been impeached.
According to a report by Television Continental, both lawmakers were impeached over alleged gross misconduct.
The deputy speaker lroju Ogundeji was earlier impeached and subsequently reinstated early this year.
It is not yet clear why the lawmakers took this latest action.
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) chapter in the state, have, however been in crisis since the party primaries were held ahead of the 2019 general elections.
The party's aaspirant for Ondo North senatorial district, Tunji Abayomi, recently threatened to leave the party following what he described as an act of injustice meted against him by the Oshiohmole-led working committee.
Abayomi, who made this known while speaking with journalists in Akure, claimed that he won the October APC primary but was surprised by the submission of Senator Robert Ajayi Boroffice's name to the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC).
