Eko Atlantic City Management Clear The Air On Venue Refusal Allegations Made By Davido

South Energy X, the company which manages the high profile neighbourhood of Eko Atlantic City, Lagos, Nigeria has responded to an allegation raised by international music star, Davido , who accused the firm of declining him a request to host his ‘City of David’ headline concert in the newly reclaimed city.

Davido earlier today raised an alarm that he was being a victim of a political witch hunt , claiming that he was denied use of the venue because of his affiliations with Nigeria’s main opposition party, the PDP, a party he supported and campaigned for during the governorship election for Osun state where his uncle, Senator Adeleke, contested to run for the office.

But South Energy X, in a statement signed by its head of corporate communications, Joanna Fabikun, debunked the claims by the DMW boss, saying that they couldn’t have denied Davido use of the location because of his partisan ties.

Fabikun in her statement said Davido made his request to use Eko Atlantic City on the 8th of November, which they replied on the 9th, requesting for more information with regards to security arraangements and other information from the music star.

She also said that the singer was yet to get back to them on the information requested from him.

The body of Efemena Okedi, wife of late Reggae star, Ras Kimono, was on Friday laid to rest at Atan cemetery, Yaba, Lagos. Okedi was Kimono’s manager and a member of his band when they were alive. Ras Kimono’s wife, Efe laid to rest amidst tears She passed away on June 10, at a Lagos hospital shortly after the death of her husband. The late Efe was buried at exactly 10.45 a.m. in a solemn mood amid tears from friends and family. Ras Kimono died after a brief illness and was laid to rest on Aug. 28, in Asaba.
