Heartbreaking photos of a little boy staring at the photo of his Dad killed during the Shiite/Security agents clash in Abuja (photos)

Two weeks ago, the Federal Capital Territory Abuja recorded a number of clashes between members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria aka Shi'ites and security agents.

 Over 10 members of the sect were killed duirng the clash while the sect members in turn burnt a vehicle belonging to the FCT police command and also inflicted varying degrees of injury on some soldiers.

One of the sect members killed during the clash was Mustafa Ingawa, a father of one. He was buried yesterday November 8th.
Photos of his little son staring at his obituary pasted on his coffin has left many people on social media heartbroken.

Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie was featured on the cover of the October 27 issue of Telegraph Magazine, where she discussed Nigeria, misogyny, and the #MeToo movement. Chimamanda talked about losing faith in Nigeria after her father was kidnapped in 2015, how she feels he was kidnapped because of her. She said: “It was because of me. That incident affected my father – it robbed him of something; there’s a distrust that he didn’t have before. He comes from a generation with a certain kind of integrity. For a long time he didn’t understand things like bribery – it just perplexed him.  My father had given his everything – he got his PhD in the US and he had job offers there in the 1960s, but he was keen to come back to Nigeria. Ras Kimono's wife buried amidst tears (photo)

The body of Efemena Okedi, wife of late Reggae star, Ras Kimono, was on Friday laid to rest at Atan cemetery, Yaba, Lagos. Okedi was Kimono’s manager and a member of his band when they were alive. Ras Kimono’s wife, Efe laid to rest amidst tears She passed away on June 10, at a Lagos hospital shortly after the death of her husband. The late Efe was buried at exactly 10.45 a.m. in a solemn mood amid tears from friends and family. Ras Kimono died after a brief illness and was laid to rest on Aug. 28, in Asaba.
